::Very dirty rooms, pillows and mattresses very hard, could barely get rest. Food was alright.

::As always, we stayed at the restaurant to recharge for the second half of the way to Encarnación. We had "milanesa de surubi a caballo" which is a breaded surubi filet with caramelized onion. The portion was smaller than I have recalled, still, it was tasty. Didn't book the room, so my review is only for the restaurant.

::We arrived at the hotel with our bycicles, with 35 degrees, so probably we were not in perfect shape. We asked for a room, after some discussion they asked a quite high rate (for local standards, higher then 4 star hotels in Asuncion or Ciudad del Este) but suddenly they decided that we were not within their standard, and they suggested to move to the next "parador", of very low level. We would like to inform the owners that even bike tourists sometimes like to enjoy some luxury solution, investing some more money, and that in our bags we had dresses to become fit for their elegance standards. Obviously we did not follow their suggestion, and we went to the next higher quality hotel.

::A useful stop for those driving along Route 1. The Parador sits almost at midpoint between Asunción and Encarnación. Good facilities and bathrooms, food could improve. The garden goes down to the river.

::The fish, baked, fried or in otherwise any form is this place's signature plate. Get the fish, anything else is not any good. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the bathrooms are clean when passing through.
