::Located in the Casa Vertúa, the Municipal Library "Augusto Roa Bastos" has a collection of approximately 32,000 volumes; It has two reading rooms, individual desks (rescued from the Municipal Theater and used in the first Constituent) and trained personnel for customer service and cataloging of books. It also has a room for Paraguayan literature, called â € œAlfredo Seiferheld, â € and a newspaper library, a place for up-to-date and fast reading about various aspects of art and culture in different countries of the world. Jacobo Rauskin, serves as director of the Augusto Roa Bastos Municipal Public Library. He was born in Villarrica in 1941. He was a professor of literature at the Catholic University of Asunción for many years and is a member of the Paraguayan Academy of Spanish Language. He has a vast and rich literary career translated in the publication of numerous books since the 60s. In addition to lectures, poetry reading, conferences in several countries of America and Europe, his works were appearing in magazines, Paraguayan and Latin American anthologies, magazines and newspapers
